About two months ago, the Thatchscapes team re-thatched the Mountain View cottages in Fish Hoek. It was once the original barn of the Fish Hoek Farm, but has now been converted into two cottages in Cottage Lane. Some say that this building is the oldest of its kind in the Fish Hoek area, and we are extremely proud to have been part of this project. The thatched roof really gives this elegant structure some character and a rustic feel interiorly and exteriorly. The thatched roof will also serve as an effective insulator, which means that the cottage will be kept nice and cool in summer and it will retain internal heat during cold winter days.
